In Conversation with Veerle & Lynn

This is my first interview!

Please meet Veerle Windels - she and I have been friends since we were 16. We go way back! Veerle lives in the town she grew up in...Tielt, Belgium. Recently Veerle began a Podcast, forced by the closure of the Royal Academy of Antwerp due to COVID-19. It has enabled her to continue instructing her students for her class on Costume History, who are now spread out all over the world since she has so many international students in her class. Our interview back on April 16th starts out with us chatting about her father who lives in Assisted Living due to dementia. I was merely testing out how Zoom could help me record my interviews and was not at all prepared for Veerle to jump right in with me to do the interview on the spot. Thankfully she did and it was a learning experience of how not to touch your face, ears, etc. AND to have lipgloss on beforehand - my lips were so chapped the whole time!
