About The Crowntown Project
My Name is Lynn Siekmann & I'll be your host throughout this journey:

On March 11th of 2020, I discovered the SloMo function on my iPhone while capturing some beautiful spring blossoms on a tree in our backyard - I found such beauty in seeing the blossoms in a slower way and was even surprised by a bee that buzzed into the frame. Lots to see and learn slowing down to observe nature and the world around us. The next day on March 12th 2020, I knew our lives were going to slow down for a longer period of time and sure enough we all learned our fate of "Staying at Home" while the Corona Virus stammed our planet hard. I've continued creating the SloMo videos, which I hope you'll enjoy and find yourselves taking a deep breath.
Next thing, a set of questions began to form in my head. I emailed them to a few friends. Struck by the poignance of their answers, I knew I needed to capture these thoughts properly and began interviewing friends on recorded Zoom calls. They all have generously shared their personal thoughts and perspectives, which I'm hope you'll find interesting, insightful and educational.
This project will hopefully grow and take shape. These are conversations first and foremost with everyday normal people. I hope to curate conversations with people all over the world.
More than ever, we are in this together globally as well as locally. Whether we are famous or not...professional journalists, filmmakers, TV show hosts or not...I am taking an amateur stab at it all.
Welcome to The Crowntown Project!
